NHKSO Academy

NHKSO Academy is an institution funded by the NHK Symphony Orchestra for the purpose of educating and fostering excellent musicians who aspire to become professional musicians.
Academy students receive lessons about orchestral works from NHKSO members, including the Concert Master, and learn the finer points of an orchestral performance by observing studio rehearsals, dress rehearsals and concerts in preparation for becoming orchestra musicians themselves.

*NHKSO Academy recruits students by instrument section according to what it hopes to concentrate on and promote at the time. (It does not accept applications for all sections at one time.)
