Partial changes in Artists and Programs for Ikebukuro A & C of February Subscription Series

Due to the tightening border controls against Omicron variant by the national government, measures banning all incoming new foreign visitors to Japan are still in effect. Under such circumstances, necessary entry paperwork procedures for the invitation of Paavo Järvi (Conductor / Ikebukuro Program A & Program B), Igor Levit (Piano / Ikebukuro Program A) and Hilary Hahn (Violin / Program B) who are scheduled to appear in the NHK Symphony Orchestra’s February subscription concerts cannot proceed. Therefore concerts in early February – Ikebukuro Programs A and C - will be held but with some changes to artists and programs.

Regarding Program B, we will announce the details in late January as we determine the situation further wishing to present the concerts with originally scheduled artists.

We appreciate your understanding.
