Masterpiece performances by world-renowned conductors and the NHK Symphony Orchestra: On-demand distribution of free videos

The NHK Symphony Orchestra will be streaming on-demand high resolution videos of some of its recent concerts under the title of “Masterpiece performances by world-renowned conductors and the NHK Symphony Orchestra” for the duration of July 21st to October 23rd on the NHK Symphony Orchestra’s website free of charge.

This is aimed at bringing you historical masterpieces performed by the NHK Symphony Orchestra under the world’s foremost conductors amid difficult situations for us to present the rich sounds of full-orchestra performances at concert halls. We have specially chosen six concerts recorded by NHK for broadcast and by the NHK Symphony Orchestra on its own.

Some of the concerts will also simultaneously distributed at PrimeSeat operated by Internet Initiative Japan Inc. and you can listen to high-resolution sound free of charge.

Please enjoy the authentic performances by the world’s great maestros and the NHK Symphony Orchestra in high quality video and sound.

*Video can be played by browsers on personal computers, smartphones and tablets, while high-res audio can be played by special applications on computers and iPhones.

*If you choose to watch distributed video by devices such as smartphones and tablets, we recommend you to do so in a Wi-Fi environment as the amount of data otherwise will become too huge.
